Jekyll Island With Kids

I almost called this post, "Friday I'm in L-----Why the hell isn't winter over yet?" But I restrained myself for two reasons. One is that I think I'm not going to use my themes in blog post titles anymore, just in labels. Two is that my Friday posts are supposed to be about positivity and things I love.

So once again I'm revisiting a past trip. Where it was WARM.

Last year we went to Jekyll Island, Georgia, to help celebrate my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary. It was sort of a mini-family reunion with my mom's side of the family and it was so much fun. There were so many terrific cousins around we barely had to watch our own kids. It was awesome. Jekyll Island would be fun even if you didn't have family members watching over your kids, though.

I could not find any of our mini-golf pictures, but there's a mini-golf course too. We had so much fun. And we didn't have to wear winter coats!

I have never heard of this place, but I am so over winter, too. I may have been born smack dab in the middle, but I am ready for spring 100%.

What a fantastic place to visit with the kids! My boys have always loved going to natural water sites (ocean, ponds, rivers, lakes...it's all good to them.)

And now you make me cry...I miss going to the beach and I predict a few more months until I'll be able to do that. Positive thoughts though, it's Friday :)
Isn't it nice when parents get to relax and finally enjoy their day even though the kids are there too?

Looks like a fun trip and a nice memory for your children.

Man I want summer to come so badly right now! This winter weather has been brutal.

That sure looks like a fun place to go with the kids. I live near the beach, but I love going to other beach communities :)

I used to live up north so I understand being over winter, it's why I moved to Florida! I've been to Georgia but never Jekyll Island. I love beaches so I'd love to visit sometime and it would be a new place to see. That is always a plus!

I normally love winter but I think I'm getting a bit tired of it coming back, leaving, coming back, leaving, etc. I just want the weather to figure out which season we're in and stick with it. Consistency is good lol.

It does sound really fun, with the kiddos, or if someone's watching them too. :) I haven't heard of it until now. Nice pics!!

Ha! I hear you on this one! For my Wordless Wednesdays I've been posting warmer weather pics because I just can't take another day of winter.

Those beaches look amazing; I love walking on beaches and just looking at all the things you can find in the sand. I really do miss the ocean; I never get to see it often where I live.

I've never been there. Looks like a nice place. Of course to me, just about any beach is a nice place. We booked our summer vacation but it's not until August. We have a ways to go. I have the beach bug

Looks like a beautiful and fun place to visit! We had a nice day here today, too. It's not really hot but it's not raining either (finally). So we went out to the pool and had some fun there! The winter here just means rainy season.

It rained all day and sadfully is raining until Thursday (or at least that's what the news said). Looking at your fun warm trip makes me wish it was Summer now!

I see I'm not the only one that is so over all this snow. Your pictures are very beautiful.

I'd do anything to have snow here in the philippines. It's too warm.

This looks like it's such a relaxing place - and what fun to hang with the sea turtles for an afternoon. I'd love to visit GA one day.

This looks like a beautiful place! Not having to wear a jacket at this point in the year would simply make me feel so happy.
