Hot Pants. Literally.

Sometimes when you are a blogger*, one post can be heartfelt and deeply personal and the next can be a product review. Which may be personal and sincere, but, you know, it's still a review. Which is what this post is. Ahem.

When I got the email about reviewing Hot Pants, I jumped on it. I'd never heard of the pants and didn't pay much attention to the fine print. I saw an opportunity to get more exercise clothing, because now I work out a lot and I don't have a lot of yoga pants I can wear in public. When I excitedly took them out of the box, I was shocked.

They were kind of shiny. They sort of reminded my of cyclist pants, but a bit longer. At least on me.

They were not what the trendy women** were wearing at my gym. I wasn't even sure I wanted to wear them at my gym. I decided to read the accompanying literature. I discovered that the pants had fancy technology that reflects your body heat, warming up the deep tissue and thus causing you to sweat out toxins and edemas. Which will improve the appearance of cellulite. And you can lose 2 jeans sizes after wearing them for a month or something. I stopped reading because I was so busy trying to put them on.

They reminded me of Spanx, but a lot more comfortable once I'd wiggled into them. Immediately my legs and tummy felt warm. Very, very, very warm. But not constricted. Since I do not look like the model in the picture, I wore them under sweatpants when I went to the gym. You couldn't tell they were under there, until I actually started working out. Then I had massive sweat stains on my knees. Fortunately I've never tried to look cute at the gym, so this wasn't a problem. I felt much better than I looked. I felt like I'd been working out a lot harder than I had. Even after the workout was over, my muscles still felt that fatigue like you get after an excellent workout. So even though I haven't had them long enough to have seen any physical changes, I liked wearing them anyway. If only to fool myself into thinking that I was working out harder.

You can buy your own pair at Zaggora.com. Or win some on the Hot Pants Facebook page. ****

*Notice how I didn't say "good blogger"? That would be because good bloggers do things like post regularly and plan ahead. I used to be a good blogger but not so much lately. I apologize. Fixing that is on my to do list, I swear.

**Okay, the truly trendy around here don't work out at the Y. But even the semi-trendy are not wearing these pants. Yet.

***They do not look like this on me. The bottom part, which on me is more on the knee, isn't so fitted. It sticks out a bit. So I would say that they run a bit large.

****Obviously I received a free pair for writing this review. For which I am grateful, but not so grateful that my review is in any way compromised.

I'm thinking these would be awesome over the winter- I work in an office, but the office is located in a warehouse and has, like, no insulation at all. And lots of people who don't believe in closing doors.
