Ticked Off Tuesday 2

I don't have a rant for you this week. WTF, right? I'm sure something extremely ranty will happen after this posts, but right now I have nothing.

Well, not nothing. I'm still me, for the love of bacon. So instead of a rant, I give you a list. . .

1. Why does 30 Rock have to be over? Do the powers that be not understand how difficult it is to get Hot Guy to watch a comedy? Don't network execs understand that TV without Tina Fey is wrong?

2. Why is Buckwild always on when everything else is on commercials? It's like MTV is purposely fucking with me.

3. Hugmonkey needs to learn that if I'm letting him watch TV, he's supposed to be letting me work.

4. Fuck you, unnamed company that wanted only people born after 1980 for your stupid sponsored posts.

5. How can people still not understand how the school drop-off line works? I thought the ever-cool and classy principal was going to lose it the other morning. Do people really not understand that their actions affect others? Especially the others who are lined up behind them?

6. Freezing rain is the devil.

Fuck-off Friday, Part Deux

source:  http://favim.com/image/413169/

I want to be an open-minded, kind, tolerant person. But I'm not.

People who can fuck off:

1. Anyone who says, "I'm pro-choice and pro-gay rights and I want healthcare for everyone, but I'm voting for Mitt Romney anyway."

2. Anyone who grew up in New Jersey and bitches about the year they got to live in London.

3. Anyone who is as internet (non)famous as I am but has tons more twitter followers.

4. Whoever asked Mitt Romney if he prefers Snooki or Honey Boo Boo. That's ridiculous. Though I do find it interesting that he prefers unwed mother Snooki to a little girl who hasn't broken any of his rules.

5. Whoever decided that Downton Abbey's 3rd season wouldn't start in the US until 2013. I need Mr. Bates, and I need him now.

6. Whoever thought that having parents fill out the same paperwork year after year after year was a good idea. I bet it was a lobbyist for a paper company.

7. Anyone who unfriends family members over political disagreements.

Fuck Off Friday

I'm not sure whether this will be a regular feature or not. I suppose it depends on how offended people are by this initial list. Because you probably like something on this list. And I get that. I'm just really grouchy right now.

Things that can just fuck off, in no particular order:

1. Blog giveaways. I know, I know. I've hosted some. You've hosted some or won something or whatever. But there are just SO MANY. I think that's all some blogs do these days. I think there should be a rule that giveaways can only be one out of every ten posts or something. Back in the day, bloggers didn't even host giveaways. . .and we had walk ten miles up hill in the snow to our computers.

2. Twitter parties. Yeah, I said it. It's not that I don't love talking to people on The Twitter. I know that the Band has done some real good through their parties and I'm sure others have too. But. Mostly they're about winning products. And the tweets are filled with boring one word hashtags, instead of witty hashtages at the end. Maybe I should learn how to used Tweetdeck properly so that I could follow Twitter parties instead of just trying to keep up between all the people tweeting about giveaways.

3. Participating in a Twitter party or writing a blog post to possibly win a gift card or product. I really need to remove myself from marketing mailing lists. You see, I'd like to be PR friendly, but why should I pimp your product or message on my blog for a chance at a gift card? Is that what you'd say to a TV station or a newspaper? We'll maybe pay you for our ad if you participate in a contest?*

4. Bills. Duh.

5. The massive traffic clusterfuck in my small town. They closed off one of the main arteries through town - which goes to all 3 schools and is used by tons of people cutting through our town every day. Now they are all going past my street. It sucks.
 try
6. School fundraisers. I would rather just give them $20 than try to convince other people to buy wrapping papers, plants, cookie dough or whatever else we're selling.

*I get that this blog (unfortunately) does not reach the audience numbers of even the lamest cable channel. But then, I'm not asking to be paid at TV station rates. I'd just like to be paid instead of entering a "contest just for bloggers with a Page Rank of 3 or higher".

The Retard List

I hate retarded people.

Not people with Down's Syndrome or other medically tested mental issues, I like them just fine. In fact, it could be said that I like them more than most so-called normal people, because most of them work hard to learn as much as they can.

The same cannot be said for the normal brained masses. Hence my use of the derogatory term, "retarded" (please don't come back and haunt me, Eunice Shriver. I didn't mean it that way, and you were scary enough in real life). Call them the intellectually lazy, the undereducated or the people who NEED A FUCKING CLUE. I don't care. I'll be calling them "retarded".

And who are these people?

People who don't understand that plural words don't need apostrophes.

People who say that Sarah Palin is not a quitter.

People who do not give their children rules and boundaries.

People who have appeared on Bridezillas.

People who give their kids names that are really nouns, like Lexus or Princess.

People named Jon Gosselin.

People who can't name their Senators but still bitch about politicians.

People who leave comments on here that say, "Nice post, thanks. Try my new hand sanitizer product." (Dude, at least read the so not nice post before your blatant advertising. Sheesh.)

People who can't pronounce the word "specific".

People who want to ban books.

People who find sex scarier than war.

People who cannot tell the difference between "your" and "you're".

People who think women shouldn't breastfeed in public.

People who fight against gay marriage.

People who wear Crocs to any restaurant nicer than McDonald's.

People who wear Uggs when it is not below freezing.

People who can't tell the difference between "are" and "our".

People who think Paula Abdul is not on drugs.

People who don't let their kids read Harry Potter.

People who write to eHow for advice like, "How many credits after a law degree does it take to get a Bachelor's?" and "How many credits do I need to graduate?"

Let me state that except for the eHow idiots, I have personally known all the people on the retard list. I may even be related to, or friends with, some of them. Hell, I may even love them. But that doesn't mean that I don't think they're retarded.

Who do you think is retarded?
